Summertime is now on its way! Holidays and wedding season is here now. With lots of brides and wedding parties coming into the salon, its really getting hectic in the salon now.

With this being said, we have just hired a new member called Aman. She specialises in threading, nails and massages. A humble young lady that has been in the industry for many years and has previously worked around Northamptonshire. Hiring new staff means a lot of time is invested for training with them and making sure the procedure is all the same.

So, models are needed, and first stop is me! The basic training is that all members are pushed through, and their first task are pedicures. Pedicures are a great all-rounder and gives the clients a chance to relax in our chairs and get to know the technician. A pedicure is not just a foot massage it’s the whole experience that comes with it. To be honest it’s my favourite treatment in the salon. It’s great for men, a couples treat or with friends. We do have a lot of men coming in now with their partners and they all return! Of course, with their partners! it must be worth it.

My experience with Aman was really good. Her training previously has been good so all I needed was to make sure she followed our steps and process.

Her attention to detail was great in regard to trimming the cuticles and painting. She was really gentle in this process, which made me feel at ease with the rest of the treatment. I choose to have french tip as I’m just plain jane and it last a lot longer. French tips are always the hardest to master especially when they’re going to do it on me! I am the biggest critic so any improvements I can teach her I will guide her through it. Teaching has now become the norm for me, with existing staff that always need guidance and new members joining our team.

Aman painted my toes beautifully; I was impressed with her knowledge of this because as we know french tip is very hard to do and not just a line. It requires time and patience to hand draw this. With a little help she finished it in good time ready for my feet to be soaked in the foot spa to soften my skin. Through this time of soaking, she prepared the rest of the utensils to complete the pedicure while I’m sitting there I have the massage chairs on to fully take me away in my mind.

After that, the dead skin cells on my feet are removed with an exfoliation with a scrub or pumice stone. Her pressure was good when scrubbing, making sure all the foot was covered.

Our pedicures come with a relaxing mud mask and hot towel over your feet and thereafter, a mini foot massage is included in a pedicure, which can help to relieve any tension or pain you may be feeling in your feet.

She executed this perfectly. Having been trained in massage it was definitely on point. We start off with the carves of the legs, in slow motions and heading down towards the ankles and feet. The massage lasted 10 to 15 mins. The whole process took her 1 hour from start to finish so she hit the target. Overall marks for her are 10/10 for a new member. I would highly recommend her for pedicures and even for massage!

In hindsight, pedicures not only make your feet look and feel great, but they can also help to improve circulation and prevent nail problems. Today, pedicures are a way of life for almost everyone.

There are many benefits for pedicures, one being it promotes nail health by keeping the area around your toenails manicured and clean. The other being it Makes Your Feet Look And Feel Great. They can help to improve the appearance of your nails and make your feet look and feel softer and smoother. Pedicures can also add a touch of luxury and pampering to your life!

It will also Help To Prevent Nail Problems such as ingrown nails, fungal infections, and brittle nails. Pedicures can also help to prevent foot problems such as athlete’s foot, bunions, and hammertoes.
